The Kathmandu Participatory River Monitoring (KAPRIMO) system was conceptualized by ECCA as a model for South Asia. River monitoring system is necessary in all the rivers of the world as day by day it is getting polluted due to human encroachment. As a first replication of the KAPRIMO project, a Development Fund Norway as Environmental Movements in the South (EMIS) has funded a project Participatory Mai River Reclamation (PMRR) implemented by Namsaling Community Development Centre (NCDC, Ilam) in coordination with ECCA.
